Exploring the

Passover Seder

March 2nd at 6:30 p.m.

Join Rabbi Michael Lotker (Community Rabbi for the Jewish Federation of Ventura County and Scholar in Residence at Temple Adat Elohim in Thousand Oaks) and

Father Alexei Smith (Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Officer of the LA Archdiocese) for an exploration of the customs and traditions surrounding the Jewish Passover Seder.  The program will include an introduction to Rabbinic Judaism (which is vastly different from Biblical Judaism – the religion of Jesus) and a presentation of the significance of Passover and the Seder meal rituals.  We will have an opportunity to taste the traditional Passover foods and hear some of the key prayers and songs of this most important Jewish holy day.
